Italy and Albania’s New Migration Pact : Beyond EU Borders

Italy has signed a five-year agreement with Albania to send migrants rescued at sea by the Italian coastguard to Shengjin, a town on the Adriatic coast. The migrants will stay there until their application for asylum is accepted by Italy.

Venice: Between Mass Tourism and Rising Waters

An outburst of feminism after yet another femicide in Italy

Giulia Cecchettin, a young woman of 22 years old was murdered by her ex-boyfriend in Padoue on Sunday 12th of November. Her body was discovered on the 18th of November, a week after she went missing. Her ex-boyfriend and murderer was arrested in Germany near the city of Leipzig, after a week of running. The cruelty and savagery of the crime provoked a wave of shock in Italy.
